OLM 11.2 Calculation of effective population size in fluctuating populations
The size of natural populations tends to fluctuate year by year, generation by generation at various amplitudes. It is, therefore, an important task to determine how these fluctuations affect the speed of genetic drift and thereof the selectively neutral differentiation of populations.
